(formally known as Chesil Marine Network. This website has been updated to reflect the new name in most areas)

The Dorset Marine Network Ltd is a self governing body whose aim is to promote the diverse range of marine related businesses in the Dorset region.

The Dorset Marine Network will act as a single point of focus for:

• Investment and funding initiatives
• Joint marketing activities
• Dissemination of important news
• Active and Joint campaigning on relevent issues important to members to official and responsible
authorities.

Those members who were on our DMN stand at Seawork all reported good business and all want to go again - so join us and be part of a bigger and even better DMN stand June 2011.

The Dorset Marine Network is proud to report it has the support of a DMN Stakeholder Group made up of public and private sector organisations with an interest in seeing the marine sector in Dorset develop and take full advantage of the opportunities presented by the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Sailing events in the region.

These include; Weymouth & Portland Borough Council, Dorset County Council, Southwest Regional Development Agency, the Learning and Skills Council, Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy, Business Link, Team Dorset, Skills Active, Weymouth College, Portland Academy, Bournemouth University, Sunseeker, the Boat Building Academy and colleagues from Cornwall Marine Network.

The Group are currently working to provide resources to help grow DMN and meet training needs.
