2012 Games coming to Weymouth & Portland
At our 1st October 2009 meeting we welcomed a presentaion from Detective Inspector Richard Bell - Deputy Head of Dorset Security for the 2012 Games. We enjoyed an excellent and informed presenation giving information as is known (not assumed or guessed but facts) Richard is coming back to update us in October 2010 after the Sail for Gold when Olympic procedures will be tested...........Join DMN and be informed.
Pleased or not pleased? It is going to happen whatever so lets look to capitilise on it for the local area.
Concerns have been raised over many topics - logistics, local transport during the event, parking near to the causeway in residential roads, access to Portland and many more.
