Dorset Marine Businesses are invited to become members of the Dorset Marine Network Ltd (DMN). The network has been formed in response to requests from Dorset-based marine companies who feel that local issues need to be raised in a clear, collective voice that will produce results.
The DMN is a self-governing body whose aim is to foster and support the development of marine enterprises. It will also act as a focal point for investment and funding initiatives, marketing, partnering activities and dissemination of important news and information to the community. The DMN is a company Ltd by guarantee.
Full membership is open to bona-fide marine companies and organisations located in the county, and Associate Membership is open to other enterprises. Both subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
DMN will hold networking events where members can become actively involved in generating more business. DMN also has the support of Weymouth and Portland Borough Council through the Economic and Tourism Development sections.

DMN took a group of members to exhibit at Seawork 2009. Individual companies took for a low cost a section of our managed stand. All reported good business and all want to go again in 2010 - so we are! - join DMN and take advanatge of exhibiting at the biggest Commercial Marine Show in the UK at fraction of the cost of your own stand.

Members will be invited to show their products and literature in the marquee and an opportunity to invite your potential customers to meet you in the marquee.
N.B those volunteering for stand duty given priority.
DMN is promoted as a co-organiser on MarineEx promotional material and website. MarineEx is working on a promotional campaign with the Echo for Afloat & H20 Magazine. Also there is Press campaign to national magazines.
Regular Monthly meetings to air your views and network with other marine businesses.
Regular social events to get a good opportunity to meet members in a more relaxed atmosphere.
Joint projects – work with other members to gain business not possible on your own. Collaborative working a key feature of being a member of DMN

To apply for membership please down load the application form herecomplete it and post it. Your application will be put before the board of directors and if approved we will forward an invoice for your membership fee. The board will notify you if your membership has not been approved. We reserve the right of refusal of membership and may do so without giving a reason.
